Sport and Recreation is an integral part of Victoria’s social and economic life. A strong, vibrant and interconnected system supports over 3.8 million Victorians to play sport and be engaged in active recreation.

The Victorian Squash federation commenced on 1 January 1988, when it took over from the previous State Parent Body, the Victorian Squash Rackets Association. In 2009 the organisation adopted the trading name, SQUASH VIC and in 2014 this became SQUASH & RACQUETBALL VICTORIA

The AIS is the principal sponsor and partner of Squash Australia. The AIS provides Squash Australia with funding to ensure they have the capacity to create a sustainable sport through best practice governance and administration, intellectual property ownership, athlete management and support structures and general accountability. Importantly, the winning partnership highlights the commitment to ensuring Australian athletes excel in the international sporting arena, and increasing Australians’ participation in Squash.
